Privacy statement

Maredo BV processes personal data of its customers, prospects and other contact persons. This privacy statement explains which data Maredo BV processes when, for what purpose and in what way.

When does Maredo BV collect (personal) data?

This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal information and data obtained by customers, prospects and other contacts when visiting our website. We also collect data when you subscribe to our newsletter, request information, ask a question, respond to our website or otherwise contact us.

Which (personal) data does Maredo BV process?

Maredo BV collects contact details such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, data regarding previous orders and use of our services. We also store contact history, for example when you ask us a question via the website or by email.

In addition to the personal data that you provide to Maredo BV, Maredo BV may collect, record and process additional personal data about your use of our products and website(s). Depending on the products you purchase from us, Maredo BV stores traffic and location data. This only concerns data relating to your communication, not the communication itself.

We also collect data about the equipment you use, such as a unique device ID, the version of the operating system settings of the device you use to visit our website, as well as data about the use of our website(s), such as the time when you visit us and the topics you view.

Why do we process (personal) data

Maredo BV processes personal data in order to provide its services. For example, we store data for the creation of a customer number and the financial administrative processing. Maredo BV also needs data to (be able to) answer questions, handle complaints and process any refunds. After placing an order, a quotation and invoice number is linked to your customer number.

Maredo BV uses cookies on its websites. We do this to analyze our websites and make them function optimally, to improve our services, for social media and to show relevant advertisements on other websites. Read more about this in our cookie statement.

Third party recipients

Maredo BV uses systems or services from third parties, whereby it is possible that the supplier also has access to data of our customers. Some of our suppliers are located in the USA. These parties are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield or contractual agreements exist about an appropriate level of security.

Personal data is exchanged within the Maredo BV group. If you are a customer of Maredo BV, we also regard you as a customer of the other companies belonging to the Maredo BV group. Maredo BV does not sell personal data to third parties.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, everyone has a number of rights. You can request Maredo BV to inspect which of your personal data we process. It also states how and why we process that data. If Maredo BV processes incorrect or incomplete data, we will adjust this at your request. You can also request removal. It may be that Maredo BV is still obliged to process the data for other purposes (administration, fiscal retention obligation). If you suspect that we are processing your personal data unlawfully or incorrectly, you can also have that processing limited. You can also object to the processing of your personal data for marketing or other purposes. The right to data portability is new under the GDPR. You can ask Maredo BV to transfer your personal data (or have them transferred). Finally, you can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter or other processing.

Do you have the idea that Maredo BV does not act in accordance with privacy legislation? Or if you have any comments or questions, we would of course like to hear from you. As of 25 May 2018 you can also submit a complaint to the AP.

Security

Maredo BV has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures and monitors and protects all its services (in)visibly against misuse and fraud. Maredo BV also engages third parties in the performance of its services. Insofar as these third parties process (personal) data when performing the relevant services, they do so in the capacity of processor.

The processor concerned will of course only receive the necessary data and will be (contractually) obliged to maintain an appropriate level of security and to handle personal data with care. In addition, personal data is not kept longer than necessary. Maredo BV is legally obliged to store traffic and location data for judicial investigation and investigation purposes on the basis of the Telecom Data Retention Act.
